As principal, I would like to welcome you to Adelaide Secondary School of English.

We are the only specialist English language school for secondary aged newly arrived students from non-English speaking backgrounds in Adelaide. As an international school community, the school enables students from a wide range of social, cultural, religious, education and language backgrounds to achieve personal and educational successes in a short space of time. Students spend a maximum of 2 years in the program, during which our curriculum prepares students for successful transition to, and participation in mainstream secondary schools. While introducing students to a range of subjects including maths, science, history, health and physical education and the arts, our curriculum also concentrates on developing effective English language communication skills.  

Not only do we pride ourselves on our quality teaching, we work hard to maintain a safe, inclusive and supportive environment where students successfully develop the skills and capabilities needed for life-long learning and global citizenship.
